The Excellence Equation identifies the elements that affect the process of achieving excellence. We don’t believe excellence is a destination it is a continuous pursuit. We created the equation as means of identifying various points we can join our clients in their relentless pursuit of excellence:

Engage – involves inviting others to come together and focus on a goal.
This is the “get ready” point!

Equip – determining the strengths and skills of each person; providing training and additional resources as needed.
This is the “get set” point!

Execute – unfortunately too many endeavors begin with frantic action in an attempt to accomplish something. Strategic execution involves adequate planning and preparation through the engagement and equipping stages.

There must also be alignment in the direction which you plan to proceed. Once all that is in place it’s time to “GO!”

Align – the power of alignment is an essential element of the Excellence Equation. Without alignment organizations waste precious resources. Align for exceptional performance.

The Brighton Leadership Learning Lab is a place for testing, experimentation, and practice of leadership concepts. Rather than teach more theory we want people to wrestle with ideas and test them. The more questions the better. You learn more from application than listening. The more we can create an environment where you experiment with ideas, the more easily you can apply your tested learning’s to your daily work.
